Settled

Settled was founded in July 2019 to help disadvantaged European Union (EU) citizens living in the United Kingdom obtain the right to remain, following that country’s formal departure from the EU. The organisation supports people who are entitled to EU Settled or Pre-Settled Status, but who might not achieve it because of digital exclusion, linguistic barriers, poor health or financial hardship. Without this status, people will be denied access to other rights such as work, housing and healthcare. Settled offers telephone advice lines in eight languages (including a dedicated one for Roma people), multilingual Facebook fora, information sessions and community events. Staffed with 100 highly trained volunteers and several immigration lawyers, the team has provided advice to over 10,000 people since its founding.
