Simorgh Women’s Resource Centre

Simorgh Women’s Resource and Publication Center is a non-governmental organisation that advocates for women’s rights through action based research projects. Simorgh’s research initiatives have focused primarily on women’s civil and political rights, gender-based violence and women’s access to justice, judicial education on equality issues, and the impact of religious fundamentalisms on women’s rights. SRT is supporting research for advocacy that will address traditional marriage practices such as Vani (the practice of giving women to resolve family disputes) and Karo Kari – a form of honour killing.
