BirdLife Europe and Central Asia

BirdLife Europe and Central Asia is the independently registered regional office of BirdLife International serving Europe and Central Asia. Founded in 1922, BirdLife International seeks to conserve wild birds, their habitats and global biodiversity. BirdLife consists of an international Secretariat, based in Cambridge and with regional offices in all continents, and the wider BirdLife Partnership of over 115 independent national conservation organisations across more than 100 countries. The resulting global conservation alliance shares common objectives and works together in advocating and carrying out priority conservation actions. SRT is supporting BirdLife Europe’s capacity development work with its partner organisations across the Balkans, Caucasus/Turkey, Central Asia and Eastern Europe.

An emergency grant was awarded in February 2023 for £85,000 to enable Birdlife to support the Ukrainian Society for the Protection of Birds (USPB).
