Trees for Life

Founded in 1993, Trees for Life works to restore Scotland’s globally unique native woodland ecosystems in a way that ‘provides space for nature and enables communities to thrive’. It does this through a combination of conservation education and awareness raising, practical restoration activities, ecological research, and policy advocacy. Trees for Life’s flagship site, Dundreggan estate in the Scottish Highlands, is central to the NGO’s work. As well as playing important role in demonstrating forest restoration techniques, Dundreggan will soon host the world’s first rewilding centre.
