Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre

The Tshwaranang Legal Advocacy Centre (TLAC) was established in 1996 in Gauteng province, near Johannesburg, South Africa to promote the right of women to live free from violence and to have access to adequate and appropriate services. TLAC uses a multi-disciplinary approach that includes the provision of free legal services and litigation, public education, and research and advocacy at both the policy and grassroots levels in an effort to make the law a vehicle of social change.
