Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union

The Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union is the largest association of human rights organisations in Ukraine. It engages in documentation, strategic litigation, legislative analysis, legal aid and advocacy, with a particular interest in transitional justice and accountability for international crimes. Across Ukraine, the Union has 22 member public reception offices that provide legal aid. The Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union was awarded an emergency grant of £75,000 in March 2022 in response to the crisis in Ukraine. The grant will support the organisation to continue to document war crimes and advance accountability.
