Urgent Action Fund – Latin America

Urgent Action Fund – Latin America (UAF-LA) was established in Colombia in October 2009 as part of the expanded network of independent and autonomous Urgent Action Funds, and is responsible for all requests from Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean. UAF-LA responds to urgent requests for funding from grassroots organisations, non-governmental organisations and networks working in the context of violence, exclusion, armed conflict and fundamentalisms in the region. In addition to grantmaking, UAF-LA undertakes capacity-building and collaborative initiatives with women’s organisations to undertake further research and joint advocacy.
