SIPD

SIPD is a Kampala-based human rights organisation, founded in 2008 by the Ugandan born intersex activist Julius Kaggwa, and backed by other advocates for the rights of children, women, and other marginalised populations. The group arose in order to provide an expert voice on intersex issues and related human rights violations. Through outreach and public education, SIPD strives to provide reliable and objective information on intersex conditions and particularly addresses the need for organised medical and psychosocial support, civic education, and advocacy for human rights protection of intersex children and people.
