Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative

Founded in 1987, the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative works for the practical realisation of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the 1991 Harare Commonwealth Declaration, and other international and domestic instruments supporting human rights in the Commonwealth. The London Office works closely with CHRI’s headquarters in India and Africa Office in Ghana and has a particular focus on advocacy and liaison with the Commonwealth Secretariat and other London-based bodies.
