Dejusticia was founded by a group of university professors in Colombia in 2003 with the aim of advancing debates on law, institutions and public policy and promoting social inclusion, democracy, the rule of law, and human rights in Colombia and Latin America. It is a centre for applied research that combines research, strategic litigation, advocacy, training and education. Its work is carried out in collaboration with networks of social organisations, research centres and human rights advocates both in Colombia and abroad.
