Deystvie

LGBTI Deystvie Association (Deystvie) is a Bulgarian NGO founded in 2012. It is the country’s leading LGBTI rights group, combining legal action, public education, and community support. It is spearheading the legal and advocacy response to Bulgaria’s recently adopted anti-LGBTI propaganda law, providing pro bono legal support, while preparing constitutional and European challenges to the law. It works closely with national and international partners to build support. Alongside this, it continues its broader strategic litigation on recognition of same-sex marriage, anti-discrimination, and hate crime, and runs community and advocacy initiatives to counter rising hostility.
