European Roma Grassroots Organisation Network (ERGO)

Founded in 2008, the European Roma Grassroots Organisation Network is a Belgian association that unites more than 30 Roma rights groups in 24 countries. It aims to combat antigypsyism and Roma poverty; strengthen Roma civil society participation in decision-making at the grassroots, national and European levels; and commit governments and European institutions to effective social inclusion and anti-discrimination policies, standards and funds for Roma people. The network employs a range of strategies including research, campaigning, advocacy in Brussels and national capitals, capacity-building for Roma activists, as well as convening spaces for networking and mutual learning.
