Information Centre about Asylum and Refugees in the UK (ICAR)

The Information Centre about Asylum and Refugees (ICAR) provides information and analysis on asylum issues and conducts applied policy research. ICAR aims to improve public understanding of the contribution of asylum to the protection of people displaced by violence, and make available reliable evidence to improve asylum policy and its implementation. ICAR collects, analyses and disseminates information on key issues related to asylum through its website and publications organised by theme, population and location in the UK. It works with intermediary organisations, including refugee-assisting NGOs, local government and the media to make this information and its research widely available.
