JurFem (Ukrainian Women Lawyer’s Association)

Jurfem was founded in 2017. It aims to improve laws and policies on gender equality and notably, works on the rights of victims of sexual and gender-based violence. Following the full-scale invasion, the organisation expanded work to provide direct support to survivors of conflict related sexual violence as well as to address gaps in the authorities’ response to their demands. For that, Jurfem supports legal analysis and drafting; it provides training programmes for law enforcement, judges and lawyers, conducts advocacy (nationally and internationally) and gives legal aid to survivors.
