Open Briefing

Established in 2010, Open Briefing furnishes civil society with training, mentoring, and multilingual resources to improve digital and physical security, and to increase the overall resilience of the individuals and organisations seeking to defend human rights and the environment around the world. It provides bespoke training, digital security support, and rapid, pro bono assistance to NGOs and other members of civil society during times of acute need or immediate crisis. In addition, Open Briefing provides foundations and charities with retained support for them and their partners, and makes more than a dozen security tools and practical guides freely available online, including the popular Holistic Security Protocol for Human Rights Defenders, available in 22 languages.
