Open Knowledge

The mission of Open Knowledge International is to open up all essential public interest information and see it utilised to create insight that drives change. To this end they work to create a global movement for open knowledge, supporting a network of leaders and local groups around the world; facilitate coordination and knowledge-sharing within the movement, with civil society organisations, journalists and activists; promote open policies and practices to governments and corporations, advancing democracy as well as transparency and accountability; build collaboration with other change-making organisations, campaigning and advocating for open knowledge; and prototype and provide a home for technical tools and pioneering products.
