Restart

Established in 1996, Restart is the leading Lebanese organisation providing rehabilitation to victims of torture and war trauma; it seeks to prevent torture, and advance accountability and redress. Restart undertakes national and international advocacy, engages in capacity-building and awareness-raising, and fosters legislative and policy reforms. The organisation additionally seeks to improve conditions of detention; offers legal representation to detainees; and delivers specialised medical rehabilitation to Lebanese nationals, as well as to Syrian, Iraqi and Palestinian refugees.
