Sow the City

Sow the City is a Manchester-based Community Interest Company (CIC), founded in 2009 to tackle the interconnected issues of inequalities in public health, biodiversity loss in urban environments and the climate crisis. The organisation works in the most deprived areas of the city to make greener spaces for community benefit, focusing on the health benefits of improving access to green space. Community organising is central to the Sow the City’s work. They support community members to gain the skills they need to run their own “green” projects.
