Third Act

Founded at the end of 2021, Third Act is a U.S.-based network organising older Americans for action on democracy and climate. It supports education about these issues, alongside leadership development, training workshops, and best practice around community organising for its constituency of more than 100,000 members. At the national level, Third Act runs campaigns on issues such as removing bureaucratic barriers to solar energy deployment, pressuring major banks to stop financing fossil fuel projects, and strengthening voting rights protections for all Americans. At the grassroots level, it is organised into 36 working groups.
