Transparency International – Hungary

Established in 2006, TI-Hungary is the Hungarian chapter of the global Transparency International movement. The organisation’s mission is to curb corruption, monitor the government’s anticorruption performance, and promote integrity and accountability both in public and private sectors in Hungary. Its methodologies include research; investigations; monitoring and analysis of state spending and procurement; litigating for access to information; public campaigning and constituency building; and training and education. It also works with regional and international partners (both within and outside of the Transparency International network) to investigate cross-border wrongdoing. TI-Hungary regularly works in partnership with other Trust grantees including K-Monitor, Atlatszo and the Hungarian Civil Liberties Union.
