Trees for Life
Founded in 1993, Trees for Life seeks to restore Scotland’s globally unique native woodland ecosystems in a way that provides space for nature and enables communities to thrive. It does this through conservation education and awareness raising, practical restoration activities, ecological research, and policy advocacy. The Trust is supporting Trees for Life’s work, in collaboration with the Scottish Rewilding Alliance, to mainstream the concept of rewilding in Scotland. This includes increasing public awareness of the degraded state of the Highlands region and highlighting benefits to people and nature that could come through the ecosystem’s restoration.
