Anna Shea

Senior Programme Officer for Human Rights

    Anna Shea is Senior Programme Officer for Human Rights, managing the Migration and Inclusion Programme. She has 10 years of experience on asylum and migration matters and has done human rights research and advocacy in several countries, including Afghanistan, Australia, Indonesia and Turkey. Prior to joining the Trust, she was the Legal Adviser and Researcher on refugee and migrant rights at Amnesty International’s International Secretariat. She has also worked at Amnesty Canada (leading the organisation’s strategic human rights litigation) and at several grassroots community organisations, focusing on the rights of non-citizens and other marginalized groups.

    She holds a double degree in Common Law and Civil Law from McGill University in Montreal, as well as an MA and BA (Hons) in History from the same institution.
